The compensation we receive from external companies may impact how and where those companies appear on our site, including the order in which they appear.
Irving Resources Inc stock
Irving Resources Inc (CSE: IRV) is a Japan-focused Gold exploration company and its most advanced project, Omu, is located on the northern island of Hokkaido.
Japan’s precious metals deposits have seen very little exploration or development since 1943 when the government ordered them closed so the mining industry could focus on base metals for WWII. Very few of the mines reopened after the war.
Omu contains two historic Gold and Silver mines which operated 1928 and 1943. Sporadic exploration occurred in the 1970s and perhaps the 1980s but mining was never resumed. It is believed that the property has never been explored using modern techniques and the latest geological understanding.
Irving (OTC: IRVRF) has a unique business model where they focus on finding low sulfide epithermal mineral deposits with high silica content and few deleterious elements. The silica in this clean ore allows it to be used as flux in metal smelters.
IRVRF mines the ore, crushes it, hauls it to the smelter, and gets paid for 95% of the contained Gold and Silver. There’s no mill required and no tailings facility - just mine it, crush it, ship it, and get paid.
Newmont Goldcorp (NYSE: NEM) gave IRV a major vote of confidence in early-2019 when NEM became a strategic partner and invested $6 million in the fledgling miner.
Drilling at Omu has shown impressive results in both 2019 and 2020. The 2020 program consisted of 8 drill holes and high-grade mineralization was found in all 8 holes. These drill results demonstrate that Omu is a large epithermal Gold system located near the surface and open in all directions.
Dr. Quinton Hennigh serves as Director and Technical Advisor for Irving Resources. He is an economic geologist with 25+ years of experience exploring for, discovering, and developing economically-viable mineral deposits.
In addition to the Omu project, Irving (CSE: IRV) has several other highly prospective projects including 100% control of another historic mining district (Eniwa project).
